Privacy Policy

Effective: November 1, 2026 · Operator: Re:Re:vise (independent developer)

Re:Re:vise is a study and review planning application designed to keep learning records primarily on your device. Some technical data may be processed by external providers for advertising, optional analytics, Apple purchases and iCloud backups, and delivery of this website. This policy describes those practices.

The app is in pre-release development. Before public release, we will review the deployed SDK settings, actual data transfers, supported regions, and this notice, and update it as necessary.

1. Scope and contact

This policy covers the Re:Re:vise iPhone app and the official website at rerevise.app. Contact the independent developer at rerevise.support@gmail.com. An account with us is generally not required to use the app.

2. Learning data and storage

Subjects, materials, review items, descriptions, study dates, evaluations, available study time, examination goals, schedules, and learning history entered by users are primarily stored locally on their devices. We do not design advertising or usage-analytics events to include the contents of study items or free-text learning notes.

If iCloud backup is used, backup data is transferred to and stored in iCloud associated with the user's Apple Account, subject to Apple's service processes. Backup retention, deletion, and restoration depend on the app's settings and Apple's systems. Exported files are separately controlled by the user and their chosen storage or sharing destination.

3. Advertising — Google AdMob

The free version may display banner and native ads using Google AdMob where applicable consent and regional requirements allow. We intend to request non-personalized ads; non-personalized does not mean no data processing. Google's ads SDK may process IP addresses, device and app identifiers, ad interactions, diagnostics, performance information, and related technical information.

Where required, Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) or other appropriate controls present privacy choices. Users may manage applicable ad-consent choices through the messages and in-app privacy controls. Ad requests may be restricted or stopped according to age, regional requirements, and consent status. Ads are not shown while Pro or the seven-day Pro trial is active.

See the Google Privacy Policy and Google's use of information from partner sites and apps.

4. Optional usage analytics — PostHog

To improve app quality, we plan to offer optional, consent-based usage analytics through PostHog. Only limited app interactions and feature-use events would be transmitted after affirmative consent. We do not include user-authored study item names, material titles, examination titles, or free-text learning content in analytics events. The analytics provider may receive technical network information, including IP addresses, when requests are made.

Analytics consent is optional; refusing it does not block study features. Users can withdraw consent in app settings, stopping new analytics submissions. To request deletion of previously submitted information where possible, contact us. See the PostHog Privacy Policy.

5. Purchases and Apple services

Pro purchases, subscription renewals, and restoration are handled by Apple's App Store / StoreKit. We do not directly receive payment-card details. App entitlement checks use subscription status and expiration information. Apple's iCloud, notification, and purchase services have their own data practices; see Apple's Privacy Policy.

6. Website and email support

This website is delivered through Cloudflare, which may process IP addresses, request data, security logs, and diagnostics for hosting and protection. We currently do not embed independent analytics tracking or advertising tags on this website. For Cloudflare's cookies and processing, see the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

When you email us, we receive your email address and any name, message, and attachments you provide. We use this information to answer requests, resolve issues, prevent abuse, and maintain necessary records. We use Google's Gmail for correspondence. Information no longer needed is deleted when appropriate, except where retention is necessary for legal or dispute purposes.

7. Retention and deletion

Locally stored learning data remains until the user deletes it or an applicable in-app retention process runs. Deleting an item does not necessarily remove copies from historical iCloud backups, manual exports, or other devices. To remove backups, review the app's backup/deletion options and relevant Apple storage settings.

Third-party advertising and analytics data is retained and deleted according to their respective settings, purposes, and policies. We respond to legally applicable requests to access, correct, or delete information where it is identifiable and within our control.

8. Choices and rights

Users can inspect, edit, delete, and export learning records in the app. Applicable ad-privacy choices and optional analytics consent can be managed through available app settings. Notifications can be managed through iOS settings. For requests under applicable privacy law, or for questions about your data, email rerevise.support@gmail.com.

9. Minors

The app is intended for educational use. We apply age-specific restrictions and consent requirements where required by applicable law, store rules, and provider policies. If necessary consent is unavailable, relevant advertising or analytics may be restricted or disabled.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app, SDK providers, or applicable requirements change. Material changes will be communicated through the website or the app, and the effective/update date will be revised.
